To be a leader is to follow the process. We are hindered by so many things that are trying to tell us to do things this way or that way. Most often we get the “microwaved version” of being a leader. But, when we get into the “leadership crockpot experience” per John C. Maxwell, you get to marinate and simmer into the sweet flavor of a leader you can be. Can I tap into your imagination for a bit? In the leadership crockpot, you get the chance to slowly work your way into becoming real and authentic. This speaks to the process of becoming a true leader. I have decided to embark on a journey where I will discover my true leadership potential. It is in this process I will determine my purpose and fulfill it. I am determined to follow the process, doing it intentionally.
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” ~ Romans 8:28
I serve a higher power who is intentional!
As I share with you today, I want to lift your spirit. I want to add value to your day. We all have some leadership potential inside of us but what we need is the correct process. Not only the process, but the willingness to follow through with the process. It takes time. In this process, you will need to take the time to reflect so you can grow. You may be planning on developing to the next level of your career, but success does not come overnight. It requires diligent pursuit for what you desire. However, you need to be willing to grow through the process. This is what I have come to understand: what you do every day should lead you to your purpose. It should help you to answer your why. Only a commitment to a process will parachute you into your lane. I believe in you!
“Success is a process, a quality of mind and way of being, an outgoing affirmation of life.” ~ Alex Noble
Here are a few things to help you today to put you in the frame of mind to follow the process:
- Trust the process that will get you to the level of success you deserve.
- Get a reflection attitude. Reflect at the end of each day, week, month and year.
- Share your knowledge. Use this formula: (Reflect + Plan) * Prepare = Success Process
“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination. ~ Carl Rogers
