We have all come to accept the fact that we need energy in order to produce some level of effort. The first law of thermodynamics, also known as the Law of Conservation of Energy, states that “energy can neither be created nor destroyed; energy can only be transferred or changed from one form to another.” Now, I am not here to give you a lesson in physics, but I chose to use this principle to make a valuable point. The great scientists of the past who tapped into knowledge; found some remarkable truth that has held consistent through the years. And, one of those is the idea that energy cannot be created or destroyed; it is only transferred into a different form. As we learn more about nature and ourselves as humans, we can appreciate what this means for us. Do we have energy and what type of energy is this? I may not be able to give you those types of specific answers here, but this is what I know: other than the physical world’s energy, there is something even deeper taking place inside of you. Every day when you wake up and start your day, you should be thinking, “What kind of energy am I transferring?” The energy that we exude is the energy the world receives. What is your energy? The truth be told, whatever energy you normally possess cannot be created nor destroyed, but we can lose energy.
Let me explain for you. As humans, we were born with so much energy to do things. We are emphatic when we are young and the world around us is subject to our exuberance. However, somewhere along the way in life, some people lose their energy. The good thing, though, it was never destroyed. I have come to understand that there is a way to get your “mojo” back and start revving things into motion. There are so many things around us that absorb our energy which may include work, stress, bad thoughts, friends we keep, family, fear, and even love. I am not able to list it all here, but I believe you got the point. There are various things in life that have taken a toll on us and we become subdued to something we don’t even understand how it got started. And, in most cases, we don’t know how to break free and allow our energy to gain momentum. If you are like me, you have had times in your life when you wonder why bother? You begin to tell yourself that where you are, is good enough because there is nothing to propel your energy to get you enthusiastic again and full of life – just as when you were a child. You want to have the freedom to think, be silly and have a happy life. There is no doubt in my mind that this energy that you seek comes from within you. You were born with it. It is placed there from your birth. It is just that you have forgotten how to tap into it. There are many people in the world today who have come to an awareness that their energy cannot be created nor destroyed, but if you are not careful, you will gradually lose it. Before you know it, you become empty and your drive to survive is tamed.
If you desire to get your energy reinstated and start to live again, I encourage you to adopt a couple of things. I call them, “My Secrets to Sustained Energy.” Since our energy cannot be created nor destroyed, we can always begin the transferring process. My “secrets” to sustained energy is not really a secret, it is just that I have come to understand how to master how much I need and when.
Secret #1. Fashion your faith. “Faith without works is dead” and therefore, we must first get a deeper understanding of the greater power in the universe. He wants to speak with you and give you His energy.
Secret # 2. Do not let anything worry you. It is important that we understand this one, as Jesus Christ in the Holy Scriptures outlines, “…do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” ~ Matthew 6:34
Secret #3. Believe with all your heart. Nothing brings more clarity than when we become aware of the beauty in believing in ourselves and our abilities. You have the energy inside of you, you have only lost the “how to use it.” When you feel, your energy starts to fade, tell yourself; “I am fearfully and wonderfully made,” the works of the one who created me are wonderful, I know that full well. ~ Psalm 139:14
Secret #4. Find the time to reflect and meditate. Commit to the state of being where you know it is necessary for you to let things go. Be conscious of the things that weigh you down. Be aware of your energy stealers. The only way to do that is to reflect on them and release them.
Secret #5. Choose to be happy. Nothing can be more rewarding than to realize you can choose to be happy. Just by even thinking about being happy you can be happy, so that your energy can start coming back with a force. Your energy might have laid dormant for so long, but now you have a remedy to awake it. Start to choose happiness every day and remember to SMILE.
As I pour out my heart to you today, I hope you find these thoughts helpful. We all need the energy to sustain and I believe you can harness its essence. Your energy is waiting, “Are you ready?
“The energy of the mind is the essence of life.” ~ Aristotle
